The ‘race that stops the nation’ stopped our staff in their tracks too on Tuesday (apart from our dedicated personal injury lawyers who were in Court and CARS hearings!), as we came together to enjoy none other than the Melbourne Cup.

Our staff were dressed up in their finest race wear, and a big congratulations goes to the winners of our ‘best dressed’ competition.  As seen in the picture below, solicitor Brett Watts, who can usually be found drafting submissions for motor vehicle claims, swapped his suit for silks and won most creative outfit with his jockey attire.  More traditional but looking equally dapper, filing clerk Steven Powzun won best dressed male, and secretary Megan Sault was a stunning best dressed female.

Of course congratulations also go to Melbourne Cup winners Michelle Payne and Prinze of Penzance.   Their race win against all odds goes to show what hard work, dedication and having a great team behind you can do, and that’s exactly the approach that we take to our clients’  personal injury claims.  We have many clients who come to us after fighting insurers by themselves without success, often feeling like they are the underdog with the odds stacked against them to get the compensation that they deserve.  However with the great team from Stacks Goudkamp on their side, our perseverance and hard work pays off and we achieve great successes for our clients, as our case studies show.  Plus although our clients might not win a Cup at the end of their successful claims, receiving the justice and recognition that they deserve is just as triumphant a victory as Michelle Payne’s.
