Sylva is a dedicated personal injury lawyer in Anna Tavianatos’ Practice Group. Her practice includes workers compensation, motor vehicle accidents and public liability claims.
Sylva joined Stacks Goudkamp in March 2017 as a Graduate-at-Law after attaining a double degree of Law and Commerce from the University of New South Wales. She subsequently obtained her Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice (Distinction) and was admitted as a solicitor in the Supreme Court of New South Wales in August 2017.
Prior to working at Stacks Goudkamp, Sylva gained valuable experience at the State Insurance Regulatory Authority where she worked as an Exemptions Assessment Officer in the Claims Assessment and Resolutions Service (CARS). This role developed Sylva’s knowledge of motor vehicle claims, as well as the CARS claims process. Essentially, it was this experience that sparked Sylva’s enthusiasm for personal injury law.
Outside of the office, Sylva is passionate about helping the community and is involved in teaching young students in her Chaldean-Assyrian community. She was a volunteer teacher for 3 years, teaching primary school aged students in her community, including newly arrived refugees.
She also enjoys spending time with her family and friends (and Corgi), baking, travelling, reading and lots of tea.
Sylva speaks Assyrian and is able to assist non-English speaking clients.
