Alessandra Pettit

Alessandra Pettit (Ali) has joined the team at Stacks Goudkamp in Sydney NSW as
a specialist in institutional sexual abuse law. With her comes tenacity and passion to
help survivors who have been betrayed by some of the biggest institutions in
Australia.

Having exclusively practiced in this area, Ali establishes rapport with clients quickly
and helps them navigate what can often be a very confronting and daunting legal
process. Ali has helped survivors from all walks of life and is passionate about
standing up for the individual. She has a wealth of knowledge, is a fierce advocate
and has successfully litigated cases against some of the most powerful institutions in
Australia, ensuring her clients receive the best outcome possible.

Since being admitted as a solicitor to the Supreme Court of NSW, Ali has brought
cases in NSW, Victoria, South Australia, Western Australia, Tasmania, Queensland
and the ACT against schools, religious institutions, the Commonwealth and State
governments.

During her career, she has achieved the highest award of damages for a case of
institutional abuse and built lasting relationships with survivors. She has seen the
impact that systemic abuse has had on survivors and their families and feels
privileged to have the ability to represent them.

Ali understands that no amount of money is ever going to give a survivor their life
back, however, she has seen first had the benefit of resolution.

When Ali is not in the office, interstate with clients or in a Court hearing, you can find
her hiking, show jumping, bike riding or spending time with her family and beloved
rescue dog, Louie.
