Support for First Responders, Bus Accident Victims and Their Families
The last thing the family of these bus accident victims should have to worry about is finding the money to lay their loved ones to rest. The current motor accident scheme has a statutory entitlement to reasonable funeral expenses for anyone killed in a motor vehicle accident on or after 1 December 2017.
Losing a loved one can be an incredibly painful and devastating experience. In such tragic circumstances, compensation for relatives claims can provide some financial support. The specific eligibility criteria for compensation for relatives claims vary but generally, immediate family members, such as spouses, children, parents, and sometimes siblings, can make these claims.
There is also immediate access to trauma support for the members of the family of those who have been injured or killed in the bus accident in the Hunter Valley.
There are a number of different claims available to first responders, anyone injured, or to the relatives of anyone killed in the accident under the current motor accident scheme.
