Julie is a very experienced medical negligence lawyer, who has been practising law for in excess of 40 years.
Prior to commencing with Stacks in 1993, she worked in a Canberra law firm. A knowledgeable and respected medical negligence solicitor, Julie is a member of the NSW Law Society and a NSW Law Society Accredited Specialist in Personal Injury.
Julie has run a wide variety of medical and dental negligence cases. These range from cases for babies who are catastrophically injured as a result of bad care by medical staff at the time of their birth, through to matters involving a delay in diagnosis and treatment resulting in a worse outcome, as well as injuries sustained in hospital (often due to underfunding and understaffing), and mistakes made during operative procedures.
Julie prides herself on her specialist knowledge and expertise in this area of practice, and her warm and empathetic approach to her clients. She is often described as a “straight shooter”. She is approachable and a very good communicator who is able to make complex legal and factual matters easily understandable.
As the mother of four children and with wide experience in the practice of law, Julie brings maturity to the task.
She understands how stressful bringing a claim can be, and strives to make it as straight forward and stress free as possible. This is very important particularly in medical negligence claims.
